The Okanagan Aikikai is pleased to host a Winter Seminar with two BC Shidoin.

Scott Macphail, rokudan, is the senior yudansha in Victoria BC and was Kawahara Sensei’s administrative assistant when Sensei lived there from 2005 to 2011. Macphail Sensei is a member of the CAF Examination Committee.


Mike Chin, godan is also a long time student of our late Kawahara Shihan. He was given permission by Sensei to start his own dojo: Sanshukan; which nurtured a large number of yudansha in Victoria BC. Presently, he is one of the active BC Shidoin appointed by CAF.

Practice schedule
Jan. 30, Friday     6 pm to 9 pm with a 10 minute break
Jan. 31, Saturday 10 am to 12 pm; 1 pm to 3 pm
Feb. 1, Sunday     9:30 am to 12:30 pm Note: Keiko (practice) location is at 1493 KLO road.


$60 for 2 days; $40 for one day
Student and unemployed fees are $30 for 2 days; $20 for one day
People attending all 3 days are welcome to give a free will donation for the 3rd day.
